Stardew Valley Spirit's Eve, including the Haunted Maze and Golden Pumpkin explained

Publish date: 2022-12-20

Spirit's Eve is the Halloween of Stardew Valley and, in accordance with its real world origins, it proves to be the spookiest of festivals.

Unlike the Stardew Valley Fair, Spirit's Eve is definitely not a family friendly event. There are caged skeletons in the square and Jack-O-Lanterns for you to buy, but the spookiest part of this festival is the Haunted Maze.

If you can navigate through the tricks and twists of the Haunted Maze, then you'll be rewarded with a Golden Pumpkin. This special winter squash can only be easily obtained during Spirit's Eve.

Spirit's Eve date and time in Stardew Valley explained

It's time for the spookiest festival in Stardew Valley - Spirit's Eve. Here are all the spine-chilling time and location information from the festival calendar:

How to find the Golden Pumpkin in the Haunted Maze in Stardew Valley

The main attraction of Spirit's Eve is the Haunted Maze, where, every year, you'll be able to find a Golden Pumpkin.

This special pumpkin is worth 2,500g, used to create the Witch Hat and is beloved by all the villagers, so it's up to you whether you sell it, deconstruct it or gift it.

Aside from Artefact Troves, completing the Haunted Maze is also the only way to obtain a Golden Pumpkin in Stardew Valley, which means, no matter your decision, it's always worth collecting.

The Haunted Maze is pretty easy to navigate; simply follow the path along until you reach a sign with a question mark on it. This area may look like a dead end, but you can in fact walk through the hedge, which will put you, technically, outside of the maze.

Now head north and walk to the east through the tunnel. If you get stuck in the tunnel just try moving your farmer up or down, until you've past the invisible barrier.

Once you're out of the tunnel, you can open the chest and receive your prize for mastering the maze - a Golden Pumpkin.

One of the main goals in Stardew Valley is to complete the Community Center bundles or, if you’re corporate minded, you can buy a JojaMart Membership. Fishing is a great way to earn money in Stardew Valley, especially if you decide to use crab pots and ponds. Throughout the year you’ll also be able to take in a variety of festivals, including the Egg Festival, Stardew Valley Fair and the Night Market.
