Warzone best Marshal loadout: Our Marshal class setup recommendation and how to unlock the Marshal explained
The Marshal is a new addition to the game as part of Season 5, joining the roster of both Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone.
This is a peculiar weapon. While it's part of the pistol category, it's undeniably a sawed off double barrel shotgun. If you were waiting for a new secondary option to fool around in Team Deathmatch playlists or Plunder, this could be the one.
This page will cover how to unlock the Marshal in the swiftest way possible, and the best Marshal loadout and Marshal class recommendations to make the most of it.

How to unlock the Marshal in Warzone
Instead of leveling up the battle pass, the Marshal can be unlocked either by completing a challenge or by purchasing a blueprint.
In order to unlock the Marshal, you need to get a headshot kill across 15 different completed matches, using any pistol.
It's a rather straightforward task, although we admit it can be time-consuming to play that many matches. If you're jumping into Black Ops Cold War for it, we recommend you to complete 24/7 modes as well as Team Deathmatch playlists. They won't take long in terms of match length, and there'll be plenty of opportunities for a quick headshot.
If you're opting for Warzone alone, we highly recommend for you to choose Plunder over battle royale, as it will allow you to revive throughout the match and get most out of each session.
Best Warzone Marshal loadout and attachments
Below are our recommendations for an optimal Marshal loadout, as well as the corresponding levels for each:
- Barrel: 6.5" Cut Down
- Stock: Dual Wield
You will probably be wondering why there's only two attachments in this list. Well, there aren't many options for this weapon - you can opt to add attachments in the Barrel, Optic, Stock and Ammunition categories. In total, there's a total of six of them.
Depending on your choices you will block the slot of another category, but that's okay as we won't be using all of them.
For the barrel, we went for the 6.5" Cut Down, which increases damage range as well as bullet velocity. In return, it trades off a hit sprinting move and aim walking movement speeds, but not by much.
The stock only has one option and that is Dual Wield. This is rather self-explanatory, although it comes with a few cons targeting damage, wider pellet spread, and both range and movement speed.
Ultimately, this weapon is rather gimmicky. But if you're having trouble with the stock's inclusion, you can opt for an optic, if just for show.

Best Warzone Marshal class setup, perks and equipment
Here's our choices for the best items - such as equipment and Perks - to make the best Marshal class setup in Warzone:
- Perk 1: E.O.D (Unlocks at level 1)
- Perk 2: Tempered
- Perk 3: Combat Scout
- Primary: EM2 (Unlocks by reaching tier 15 of the battle pass, including the free version)
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 1)
- Lethal: Claymore (Unlocks at level 1)
The Marshal won't exactly be taking down several enemies in a rapid manner, so perks like Quick Fix are not a good fit. Instead, we recommend opting for E.O.D., as it will help to mitigate damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.
As this is a secondary weapon, we won't be needing Overkill this time around. For the primary weapon, we recommend the EM2 as a recent assault rifle that can help to cover that long distance and quick fire rate that the shotgun lacks.
Instead, this is a great opportunity to use Tempered, one of the new Warzone perks added in Season 5. With this equipped you will be fully armoured with only two armor plates instead of three.
For the third perk, we went for Combat Scout, the other new perk added during the season. When using it, enemies are highlighted for a brief moment, and are marked for the entire squad.
Lastly, the Heartbeat Sensor is a perfect companion to prepare yourself ahead of time or track anyone who dared to escape from your line of sight. In case anyone manages to sneak past your vicinity, however, having a Claymore placed near you should provide for a helping hand.
