Pokémon Quest recipes list and ingredients explained
Pokémon Quest recipes are an important part of the Nintendo Switch and mobile free-to-play game, allowing you to cook ingredients and attract Pokémon to your party.
Creating recipes is about combining the right ingredients, all of which have unique properties. Learn how they work, and you'll start attracting new types of Pokémon to your camp in no time.
Why cooking is important and how Pokémon Quest recipes work
Cooking recipes in Pokémon Quest allow you to attract new Pokémon to your base camp, which can then be added to your party.
The more Pokémon you have, the more options you have when it comes to expeditions (certain types will do better in some than others, for example), as well as allowing you to fill out your Pokédex.
The cooking process is simple enough. Head to your camp, then tap on the pot. You'll then be asked to fill the pot with ingredients, forming a recipe.
Different recipes attract different Pokémon. Some recipes are super simple - red food makes for a red curry, attracting red Pokémon - though others are a little more complex.
When you've made a recipe, it'll take some time to cook. The number that appears above the pot indicates how many expeditions it'll take to cook. Alternatively, you can throw 'money' (PM Tickets) at the problem, with 20 tickets allowing you to speed up the process.
The game will let you know when the recipe is ready. Head back to the pot, receive your new Pokémon, and continue the process again!

Pokémon Quest ingredients list
Recipes are formed of ingredients, which you'll collect in a variety of ways, including running expeditions, recycling Power Stones and completing quests.
Each has a different characteristic, which helps inform what the recipe will be. As the above table shows, you need certain colours, softness and size in order to create different outcomes.
They are described as follows:
- Tiny Mushroom - Red, "soft and small"
- Bluk Berry - Blue, "soft and small"
- Apricorn - Yellow, "hard and small"
- Fossil - Grey, "hard and small"
- Big Root - Red, "soft and precious"
- Icy Rock - Blue, "hard and precious"
- Honey - Yellow, "soft and precious"
- Balm Mushroom - Grey, "soft and precious"
There are also two other types of ingredients we have yet to unlock, which we'll describe in a future guide update. But for now, between these two lists, you have a go at experimenting with recipes and attempt to get the Pokémon you want!
