New Fish and Bugs in June: Everything arriving and leaving this month in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Publish date: 2023-03-30

Thanks to the seasonal nature of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, new fish and bugs arrive and vanish on a monthly basis - you can find different creatures on your island compared to May and July will also see the arrival of more bugs.

Completionists will want to catch one of every fish, sea creatures and bug in the game in order to unlock two of the Golden Tools and to complete the Museum.

The Critterpedia does explain when each creature comes and goes, but you won't know this information unless you've caught them first. This is why this page explains exactly which fish and bugs arrive and vanish in June.

New Animal Crossing fish and bugs arriving in June

Every month in New Horizons there is at least one new fish, sea creatures and bug to find on your island.

Catching these new creatures will help you complete both the Critterpedia and the exhibits at the Museum, so it's a great idea to know what will be arriving to help you get a head start.

It should be noted that the following only applies to the northern hemisphere.

The Animal Crossing 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise is here! We can help you with the new additions - including where to find Brewster, Gyroids, new villagers, ordinances, new fences, storage shed, new hairstyles, Froggy Chair, group stretching and Kapp'n boat tours. Cooking is now unlockable, so you need to know how to make both flour and sugar, as well as how to grow carrots, potatoes and tomatoes. Meanwhile, if you're new to Animal Crossing, our New Horizons tips can help with the basics. From the off, there's fish and bugs to catch, flowers and fruit to grow with. One long term goal is building your Happy Home Academy score. Finally, you need tools such as the new ladder and vaulting pole to fully explore.

Animal Crossing fish and bugs leaving in June

Often it's the fish, sea creatures and bugs that are leaving your island that are the more pressing matter in New Horizons, than the ones arriving. This is due to the fact that, once these creatures are gone, they won't be appearing on your island for some time.

Some fish and bugs do return every couple of months, but others will depart for whole seasons and a few only appear during one specific month each year. Don't worry too much if you miss a fish or bug, because it will eventually revisit your island home.

Our dedicated fish list, sea creature list and bug list guides also offer advice on how to catch some of the rarer creatures that visit your island. You should try to catch these rarer creatures closer to the beginning of the month, rather than the end to avoid having to rush catching any of these fish or bugs.

It should be noted that the following only applies to the northern hemisphere.
